Veganuary – New Year, Healthy Lifestyle


It’s no secret that we love raw, healthy and feel-good foods here at NBF, so what better way to spread that message than to team up with the wonderful people behind Veganuary. Founded in 2014 by vegan-visionaries Matthew Glover and Jane Land, Veganuary is all about inspiring people to go vegan for a month to reduce the suffering of animals, decrease carbon footprints and discover a whole new way of healthy living.

Why go vegan this Jan? 

Have you ever considered going vegan, or are you simply curious about what it’s like? Well now’s your chance for a trial run, as Veganuary gives you four weeks of foodie freedom .

There are so many reasons to go vegan this January; whether you’re an animal lover, looking to reduce your carbon footprint or, wanting to lose a few pounds or simply curious to explore a new lifestyle, Veganuary gives you the chance to do it.

I don’t know what to ea t!

You shouldn’t think that eating vegan lowers your food choices – on the other hand, you’ll get to eat so many tasty foods you wouldn’t ordinarily try and feel all the better for it! We have a few suggestions right here to get you started:

To start off with, why not try this lovely winter warming pumpkin stew, loaded with goodness and perfect to keep you toasty warm in the colder months.

For a marvellous main meal, have a go at creating this vegan chili recipe that’s bursting with great flavours and nutrition.

Of course, going vegan doesn’t mean you miss out on all the sweet stuff! Try out this coconut and cardamom dessert or thisorange chocolate vegan cheesecake.

I’m new! I don’t know what to do!

If you’re new to veganism and aren’t sure how to go about it, don’t worry! Whilst the thought of choosing your food more carefully and getting the nutrition you need may be daunting, it’s easy as pie!
