Palm oil is not vegan

"Sustainable" palm oil is misleading. Technically all palm oil is "sustainable" as it grows on trees. The problem is rainforest has to be cleared in order to plant palm oil plantations. Creating demand for palm oil means more destruction of rainforest and the death of thousands of animal and plant species. Please find an alternative vegetable oil. I will buy these in bulk once this happens. Perhaps rapeseed grown in the UK?

Delicious, but please remove the palm oil!

Absolutely delicious and addictive. I'm a wheat intolerant vegan so the fact that these are gluten free is fantastic! The protein content is a bonus. They do contain added sugar and oil but at least they're a bit healthier than a chocolate bar! The selection box allowed me to try all the flavours to discover which ones I prefer. My favourites are the cocoa oat, oat raisin and the Berry. My only gripe is the palm oil. I know it's supposedly "sustainable" but this is a misleading term in this context. As it grows on trees technically all palm oil is "sustainable". However, the problem is it's grown in tropical regions which means rainforest needs to be cleared in order to grow palm oil plantations. Rain forests are incredibly diverse and dense with life. When it is cleared, thousands of animal and plant species are killed and trapped carbon is released into the atmosphere. Choosing "sustainable" palm oil just means taking it from palm oil plantations where this damage has already occured but this does nothing to prevent further deforestation. In fact it encourages it as it creates a market for palm oil so it increases demand for more palm oil to be produced which ultimately means more destruction of rainforest. Most vegans don't consider palm oil to be vegan and I'm highly surprised an ethical company making vegan products would use it in their ingredients. Surely an alternative vegetable oil can be used? Perhaps rapeseed oil grown in the UK? Sadly, as much as I ADORE the flapjacks, I won't be buying any more until palm oil is no longer used. Once that is changed, I will be ordering them in bulk once more! :).

Delicious!

This is my second mixed case of flapjacks from you, plus I buy them with my weekly grocery shop. Compared to all the other flapjack or muesli bars out there, these have a much higher protein level, and are really tasty too! I am disabled with M.E. and often don't have the energy to cook, so these come in very handy, and at least I know I have had a reasonable amount of protein. Highly recommended. My favourite is the coconut!

I had had Nakd bars so thought I would try these. They are just as delicious and addictive. I love the oat or oat/raisin for a grab and go breakfast when I am going to work.

I have a cupboard dedicated to these flapjacks, and for a good reason too! They're absolutely delicious! They feel like a cheat meal with the chocolate layers or banana infusion when actually they're so healthy. I wouldn't go a day without one of these now, perfect!
